How to use StormStocked

StormStocked shows what neighbors report about stores, restaurants and utilities near you, before and after a storm. Every report shows who posted it and when.

Find reports near you

1. Enter your ZIP code, pick a search radius (5 to 100 miles) and how recent reports should be (last 15 minutes up to last 7 days), then tap Search.
2. Switch between the Stores, Restaurants and Utilities tabs. The number on each tab is how many places have reports.
3. Tap filter chips to narrow the list. Open now hides places reported closed. Item chips, like Bottled water or Gasoline, show only places that have it in stock or running low.
4. Sort by Most recent or Closest.

Read a report

• Green In stock, open, working, or yes
• Amber Low, limited hours, spotty, or limited
• Red Out, closed, or no
• Faded Reported more than 24 hours ago

Each card shows the newest report for every item and the last two comments. Open reports in the last… on a card to see every report for that place.

Post a report

1. Tap + Report and choose Store, Restaurant or Utilities.
2. Pick the business from the list, or choose Other and type its name. For utilities, enter the ZIP code and, if you like, your neighborhood or street.
3. Add the address (required). If you don't know it, describe the location, like "US-1 & 79th St." Tap a location neighbors already reported, or tap Find on Google Maps, copy the address there, and paste it into the address box. The ZIP fills in for you.
4. Mark whether it's open, then mark only the items you saw. Leave the rest blank.
5. Add a comment if it helps, like purchase limits or line length, then tap Post report.

To add news about a place already listed, tap Update this store (or restaurant or area) on its card. The form fills in the name and address for you.

Manage your posts

Open the My posts tab to see everything you've posted. Tap Delete on any post, then tap again to confirm. You can also delete your posts from any card.

Flag a post

If a post is disrespectful, political, not factual, vulgar or spam, open details and flag on its card, tap Flag next to the report and pick the reason. (You can't flag your own posts.) Flagged posts may be hidden until a moderator reviews them. Posts that violate the Terms of Service may be deleted by a moderator without notice to the user.

Stay safe

Reports come from neighbors and aren't checked. Confirm with the business, your utility company or local officials before you travel. In an emergency, call 911.
